  This is a private clinic. Although I have a European health card, I have been unable to find a Spanish health service clinic near to Los Gigantes. LG Information Centre advised that for emergencies when ringing 112, health service facilities can be accessed but they were only able to suggest private clinics for GP services.

  This clinic turned out to be excellent and had the advantage of being on the spot for me in Los Gigantes itself, not Santiago del Teide as implied in the postal address. It is close to the taxi office near the hotel but on the opposite side of the road and a little further up the hill. It was only opened in April 2017. I had a lung infection which could have demanded hospitalisation but the clinic had all the facilities I needed - intra-venous antibiotics, oxygen nebuliser and other medication, all available during a 1 hour visit each morning over a 5 day period. The doctor ( Jesus Rodrigues), nurse and receptionist were all very pleasant, highly professional and all spoke English.
